At Ageless, we don’t mess around. When we go big, we go BIG! So if we’re going to have a contest on the Jacob’s Ladder, why not climb Mt. Everest?
Mt. Everest is the world’s highest mountain, with its peak 29,029 feet above sea level. Only 3,142 people have ever reached its summit. Worse yet, 219 people have died trying. For mere mortals, some say it’s impossible. We say bulls_t!
- You have 43 days, starting August 19th and ending September 30th, to reach 29,029 feet on the Jacob’s Ladder.
- After each climb, snap a picture of the display on the Jacob’s Ladder and upload it to the Ageless facebook page. That’s how we’re keeping track of the totals, so you must snap a picture and upload it. It will prevent any disputes. We all know we’re not great at record keeping.
- Because we only have 1 Jacob’s Ladder, there will be a 30 minute time limit per DAY, not every 24 hours. For example, if you train at 7pm on Tuesday night, you can train again Wednesday morning at 10am. You do NOT have to wait until Wednesday at 7pm to train. The 30 minutes must be continuous. Why? Because intensity matters. We don’t want you to pace yourself. Go hard or go home!
- If we do happen to have a dispute, we have 4 cameras that record the gym 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The video is kept for up to 4 weeks.
The Leader Board
We’ll have a 4′x8′ Mt. Everest Challenge leader board on display in the gym. It will be updated daily. We’ll also update our website and facebook page weekly.
Everyone who completes the challenge in 43 days will win an awesome, newly-designed Mt. Everest Challenge apparel item. These won’t be sold to the general public.. You have to earn them. The male and female finishers who complete the challenge the fastest will recieve a Nike Gift Certificate.
If you’re up for the challenge, sign up at our front desk. Let the trek begin!
