We will focus on lifting weights and speed workouts. For the game of softball, strength is important. We want to be able to hit the ball far or take one out, play multiple games in one day, and have the endurance to play at a high level in extra innings etc…..
This will happen with proper training and technique. Not only will the athletes learn the lifts that will help them improve their strength, but they will also learn the correct technique to get the most out of the lift. After a strenuous lifting session, there will be a speed workout. We will work on improving the first step and making it quick out of the batter’s box or off the base. We will work on running technique and focus on drills to improve speed. I guarantee this program will challenge you. Can you handle it?
