The last two months we’ve been evaluating the gym, everything from what equipment we need to how we can make our members more successful. We finally finished the overall evaluation two weeks ago.
One of our top priorities, if not the top, is making sure our members get the results they want. Starting an exercise program is not only hard, but it also can be very confusing. Beginners and even members who have been lifting for years can quickly become frustrated with all of the conflicting information regarding which exercise is best, and subsequent lack of results. Plus, there’s a HUGE variety of exercises. Performing them correctly not only prevents injuries, but also makes them more effective. Learning all of them on your own is a tough, long process. That’s why personal training is a billion dollar industry. It helps people get the results they want in the shortest time possible. It’s essentially an active form of a teacher-student relationship.
So, we decided one thing we’d like to do is offer small group (5 or less) personal training to all of our members for FREE. It will be the exact same thing as Pete’s current personal training program. In fact, he’s teaching it.
- It’s still personal.
- It’s still hands-on (the classes will never have more than a 5:1 student:teacher ratio).
- It’s still custom to your fitness levels and goals.
- It’s still a progressive plan so you get the results you want.
Who is Small Group Training (SGT) For
Anyone and everyone. It doesn’t matter your age, fitness level, sex, or goal. We will create a custom workout just for you. If you’re confused about exercise, SGT is for you. If you want a new challenge, SGT is for you. If you’re bored with your current routine, SGT is for you. Because it’s customized, it’s great for:
- A 40 year-old female looking to lose weight
- A 27 year-old male looking to get stronger and more cut
- A 70 year-old female looking to move and feel better
What is Small Group Training (SGT)
Essentially it’s personal training. If you’ve ever seen Pete train any of his current clients, it will be almost identical to that. Even though you will be working out in a small group, your workout will be designed for your goal and fitness level.
All you have to do is show up. The program is designed by one of our personal trainers. He’ll also be there during your session to answer any questions you may have, show you the exercises, and motivate you if you need some motivation. This is not a drill sergeant type setting. You go at your pace. The trainer is only there to answer any questions that may arise or show you how to perform an exercise.
When Do We Offer Small Group Training (SGT)
Right now, we’re going to run a 1 month trial to see how it goes. If it gets the response we’re hoping for, it’s going to be a permanent service we offer. We’re asking you when you would like us to offer it during the trial?
The only time we definitely cannot offer it is from 7-7:45 on the week nights because we will still be offering our bootcamp and core classes.
How Long Will We Be Offering Small Group Training (SGT)
Our test run is 1 month long. We will start offering it September 17. We’ll know the times once we hear back from you. What times would you like to see it offered?
After the initial month, we’ll look at the results and see if it’s going to be a permanent fixture at the gym.
How Much Does Small Group Training (SGT) Cost?
It’s completely free. We just require you to:
- Schedule the training session ahead of time
- Show up when you’re supposed to
Once we determine the times for the initial trial, which will be by the end of next week, we’ll post them on Facebook as well as at the front desk. All you have to do is sign up and show up!
