Summer’s almost here so it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t feature an ab article as one of our 3 favorites. We absolutely love the ball pike roll out, hanging leg raises, and planks with rows. Jim puts together an awesome ab routine. If you’re still doing 50 rep crunches, give this routine a shot. Get those washboard abs just in time for pool season.
The enemy of progression… Lack of variety. If you’re still on the same program with the same reps and same exercises that you’ve been on for the last 2 years, you’re probably not seeing too many results anymore. Every once in awhile throw in a completely different routine for 2-3 weeks. Shock your body with 20 rep sets, exercises you’ve never seen, or try a new sport. Your body will thank you and new PRs will be right around the corner!
The Olympic lifts aren’t for everyone. They’re extremely technical and require a decent amount of strength to perform. On the other hand, they’re great “big bang for your buck” exercises that pay huge dividends with regards to muscle mas, strength, and just pure manliness. Will gives us two lifts that almost any guy can perform. To make the snatch a little easier, we start from the hang instead of the ground.
