We just wanted to keep our members updated on our plans for 2012.
The Old: We’re going to keep the bootcamp format the same. The 30 minute classes seem to be more popular than the hour long sessions. For the diehards that really want a good workout, we may add back-to-back 30 minute sessions once or twice per week. Class days and times will probably be the same. We’re going to try to move the Thursday class up an hour, and start around 7:00. Classes will rotate between cardio bootcamp, abs, and arms.Lately, Zumba numbers have been down, so Patty is going to wait until mid January to see if she’ll continue with the class
The New: We are going to finally add the Yog-E class. In fact, if Patty decides not to have Zumba, it will probably replace it on Tuesday nights. The class will be a low intensity rejuvenation class. Lots of meditative breathing, stretching, mobility drills, etc. If you’re stressed from work/family, sore from working out, or just need to feel a little better, this class is for you. The Spartacus workout will also begin in January. This is our males-only, high testosterone, high intensity bootcamp-style class that’s guarantees a six pack by the end of Spring . If you want to be ripped, this is your class. Battling ropes, prowler pushes, tire slams, med ball tosses, etc.
Our “Climb Mt. Everest” challenge begins January 1st. You can read more about it here. We’re also going to have our annual “Biggest Loser Charity Contest” in March, and donate the proceeds to the BenGil Boosters. Check back in February for updated information on that.
Little Monsters Kids‘ Classes will resume in early 2012. We also have one Little Dribblers session planned in January 2012, and hope to have another in late Spring. Little Dancers will also be back in 2012, as well as Little Hitters. Keep checking back for more details. Our Little Dribbler sign up sheets are available at the front counter.
We have an upper body rowing machine on order, as well as another prowler sled. We’re currently looking into the Tour de France Bike, as well as a new cable tower.
As of now, we’re still committed to building the sports complex to the west of our current gym. We’re hoping to begin the project in August/September.
